Community Curious? Join us for this interactive workshop!

Hi 👋🏻

I’m Deb Schell, creator of Find Calm Here LLC and a Community Strategist, Consultant, Podcaster, Community Leader, Business Coach, and have helped over 100 entrepreneurs get clear on how, when, why, and where to launch their paid online community! If you are curious about if it’s the right time to launch a community, you are in the right place!

A Community Of Practice

Here’s a quick checklist for identifying if you’re ready to launch an intentional community of practice with an audience, customers, clients, or followers.

What is an intentional community of practice?

It is an online community that is focused on taking something as simple as a skill you’ve found deeply impacted your life, business, career, or personal goals in a positive and inspiring direction and have the willingness to share this journey so that others can practice the steps you’ve taken together to create a massive change in their lives.

You don’t need a certificate, degree, or another kind of validating piece of paper to have a skill. You’ve already done the work, and maybe you continue to practice and want others to practice with you.

It can be as simple as a group that offers accountability so that you accomplish tasks you’ve put off and trading the time you spend distracting yourself social media to shift to intentionally being present for a virtual session that has the ability to radically change your thoughts, actions, and daily life in a positive and meaningful way.

Ask yourself the following questions:

  • Do I have a life experience that could help others?
  • Am I willing to share this experience with others?
  • Will I have time to identify how I’d virtually create an experience with others?
  • Can I change my mindset about how this hasn’t worked in the past?
  • What do you believe you can contribute at this time as a leader?

Now think about 5 people you personally know who have asked you for your advice, wisdom, help, support, or who’ve leaned on you in times of need.

Write their names down and plan to reach out to them, even if you haven’t talked to them in a long time, and see what is going on in their lives. Ask them if they’d like to hear your ideas.

Not sure yet if a community is a right fit for you?

Join me during the Community Curious Workshop!

During this workshop, you’ll learn how to use your existing network to identify the problem you solve and how a community could be the way to use your experience, expertise, and wisdom to bring together specific people who want to connect with you and others to solve their problem in a private space that allows them to feel seen, heard, and valued.

Here is what we will do together during this workshop

1: Share your WHY — Interactive activity

Sharing your current community purpose or the reason why you want to bring others together into an online community with a partner inside a breakout room. You’ll need to be distraction-free and able to connect with another human with your full attention, honoring each other’s time and presence.

2: The 5 steps to build and launch your first online community

You’ll learn the five steps to building and launching your first paid online community by using your existing network, discovering your ideal member, determining the best way to convert more people to your program, how to charge higher prices to work with fewer people while still hitting your revenue goals, and finally to reach out to other community builders when you feel stuck, disconnected, or feel like you are failing at leading your community. (We’ve all been there.)

3: Q&A and Resources

We will finish the workshop with any questions participants may have and members sharing takeaways from the session.

You’ll receive a link to get the 5 Steps PDF and to schedule a discovery call with Deb.
