Calm Community Building For Creators

Happy Friday! This week has been busy — but productive. Trying to be strategic between client work and my business planning takes time. Having a playbook for my business is well worth the time investment.

My new community strategy aligns my purpose with blogs, social media, community, and digital products. (New worksheets, downloads, and checklists coming soon!)

This month’s theme inside Community Builders with Purpose is “Develop Your Community Strategy,” with a meeting next week, on February 27th. Today, I’m bringing you a recent podcast episode of Boss Your Business Podcast. It perfectly fits with the theme of community strategy.

Are you a creator struggling to balance the chaos of building and selling courses while maintaining your sanity? You’re not alone! It’s a common challenge many entrepreneurs face in today’s loud and fast-paced digital world.

But what if there are ways to find calm amidst the tornado of doubt and build a thriving online community? In this week’s episode of the Boss Your Business Podcast, I’m excited to bring you Deb Schell, a community strategist who’s empowered over 70 entrepreneurs in creating, launching, and growing their online communities — amazing, right?

Based in central Pennsylvania, Deb’s virtual strategies have reached a global audience, working with business leaders from the United States, Mexico, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Spain, Brazil, and Norway.

She has extensive experience in hosting virtual events, having co-hosted more than 30 events within her membership and hosting the Community Strategy Podcast, with over 100 episodes and 8,000 downloads.

Deb shares her insights and strategies for building a thriving online community in her recently released book. The book contains practical advice and actionable steps for creators looking to sell courses and find calm in the ever-changing online landscape.

She highlights the importance of understanding your target audience and self-care for creators. By knowing who you’re serving and what they need, you can create courses and content that truly resonates with your people. But, of course, the demands of building and maintaining a community can quickly burn you out. That’s why finding the balance is a priority.

Deb also emphasizes building trust and connection with your audience, the foundation for a thriving online community. These two combined ultimately lead to a more prosperous and sustainable business.

Her latest book — The Creator to Community Builder: Find Calm in Building an Online Community, is a must-read for any creator looking to navigate the virtual world with ease and grace. Drawing from her own experiences and the lessons she’s learned while working with countless entrepreneurs, Deb provides a roadmap to building a successful online community that feels both manageable and enjoyable. So, if you’re new when it comes to building and growing an online community or have been stuck in the loop, be sure to catch this episode!
